ResNet Fees & Conditions
Fees
The initial setup for a ResNet connection, along with any related service within the first 7 days after registering with ResNet is free.
Subsequent service calls are billed at $15 per room visit, plus $5 for each quarter-hour after the first, up to a maximum $75.
The Computer Center will spend up to 8 hours on a problem. Problems remaining after 8 hours will not be billed. Additionally, if the problem is due to faulty ResNet wiring (not including the student's cable), the student will not be billed..
Charges will be submitted to the Business Office where the student shall go to make a payment. Payments cannot be taken at the Computer Center.
Other Conditions of Service
You must be present when any work is done to your computer at any ResNet appointment.
ResNet support only includes work required to connect a student's computer to the campus network. Other hardware and software problems are not covered by ResNet.
Free Service Requests
Free ResNet Services are provided under the following conditions:
- The student needs a first-time installation of a network card.
- The student has installed the network card, but needs help getting the computer on the campus network.
- The student has had the computer working on the campus network and requests service within one week of either:
- registering with ResNet, or
- completion of work on their last service request.
