Getting online during the first days of the semester is often an important thing on any student's mind. While setup goes smoothly for most (especially those who follow the steps to Get Connected), problems are certainly possible during the setup process. So, what should you do in case something goes wrong while you're trying to get online?
Orientation / Move-in Week
If you're having problems on the day set aside for your class to move in, call or stop by the Computer Center. We're open extended hours during move-in weekend and have extra staff on hand to help you get connected.
For faster service, if you have a laptop, bring the laptop with you to the Computer Center (along with your wireless card, if you're attempting wireless setup). We can generally set it up right on the spot.
After Move-In Week
If you are having problems getting online after the first week of classes, you can visit the Online Service Request page to sign up for an appointment. A technician will either come to your room (if you have a desktop computer) or be ready for you at the Computer Center (if you have a laptop).
Virus Appointments: If you obtain a virus you must
bring in your laptop and power brick to your
appointment. If you own a Desktop, bring
in only the tower portion of your computer.
