Computer Center
Remote Access
Have a file on your H or X drive that you need to get to when you're away from campus? Now you can - from anywhere in the world!

eCampus
Select H Drive Access from the tools menu on eCampus to access your H Drive.

You'll see all of the files and folders in your H: Drive below the Remote Access toolbar.

Delete This Folder: Click this to delete the current folder you are in.

Create New Folder: Click this to create a new, empty folder in the folder you are currently in.

Upload File: Click this to select a file from your computer to place on your H Drive in the folder you are in.

Delete File: Clicking this will give you a list of all the files in the folder you are in. You will be able to choose the ones you would like to delete.

Rename File: Clicking this will give you a list of all the files in the folder you are in. You will be able to choose the ones you would like to change the name of.

Move File: Clicking this will give you a list of all the files in the folder you are in. You will be able to choose the ones you would like to move to different folders.

Location Bar: You can click any folder in the location bar to quickly jump back to that folder.

Snap Back Arrow: Clicking the green snap back arrow will bring you back to the root of your H: Drive.

Downloading Files:: Click on a file to download it. It is very important that you save the file to your computer rather than just opening it and working on it. If you open a file (instead of saving it and then opening it) it will be saved in a temp folder and any work you do on the file will be lost.

FTP Access
You can also connect to your H Drive via FTP from off campus. This is sometimes easier to use than eCampus since it allows you to drag and drop files and folders.

FTP Details
Username: Your eCampus user ID
Password: Your eCampus Password
Server: home.umf.maine.edu
Port: 21 (standard ftp port)

Windows Explorer
You can also use the FTP client built into Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer.

Open Internet Explorer and type ftp://home.umf.maine.edu/ into the Address Bar.

Enter your Campus ID and Password and the contents of your H Drive will appear.
