One way to make a table is to go up to the Insert tab, and click Table.

Another way is to go to the fourth icon from the left in the Common tab of the Insert panel, above your page. It looks like a window with six panes of glass.

From there, just fill in the information you need, and tables are always adjustable afterwards. You can adjust the number of rows and columns you want (which can be changed after-the-fact). You can also adjust the table width, border thickness, cell padding and spacing, etc. Cell padding is the difference of space between the inside of the cell and the content within the cell. Cell spacing is the difference of space between the cells themselves.
