Symantec Antivirus Support
The University of Maine System maintains a site-wide license for Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition. This license allows staff, faculty, and students access to world-class antivirus software for free.
Symantec (the makers of Norton Antivirus) software can currently be obtained at the Computer Center Help Desk.
What You Get
As long as you are a student, staff, or faculty member in the UMaine System, you have access to:

- The current version of Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition for Windows or Macintosh
- Free software updates
- Free daily virus definition updates
How To Get It
If you're a student living on campus, it will be installed automatically when you register your computer on our network. For more information on this process, visit our Connecting to Resnet page.
If you live off campus, or you're a staff member, you can pick up an installation CD at the Computer Center Help Desk. You will need to install the software on your own, however.
